Golf Expo : More than 120 exhibitors will be on hand for the Colorado Golf Expo February 25-27 at the Colorado Convention Center.

The Colorado Golf Expo, the popular winter escape for area golfers, has expanded into downtown Denver and the Colorado Convention Center, February 25-27, 2022.

For 25 years the annual golf show has offered enthusiasts a welcome chance to see and test new golf equipment, purchase discount green fees from area golf courses, meet golf professionals and learn about travel opportunities.

“As a new Glendale Chamber of Commerce member, the Colorado Golf Expo recognized the thousands of golfers living in this area and the easy access to downtown Denver,” explained Mark and Lynn Cramer of Expomasters. “This will be local and affordable winter entertainment for golfers and families.”

With the move into downtown Denver, the show will be easily available to downtown executives and office workers on Friday. Then it can attract the thousands of downtown apartments and nearby residents on the weekend.

Previously the expo was held at the now closed Denver Mart in the industrial area north of town.

The popular large indoor driving range and high nets will be constructed inside the convention center to allow golfers to test the newest golf clubs at full swing. Numerous golf club manufacturer representatives will allow attendees to examine and test the newest clubs.

Over the years, the expo has created a popular tradition where area municipal golf courses pre-sell green fees and season passes at deep discounts. Mountain golf courses, and even New Mexico, Nebraska, and Nevada courses have booths to promote golf vacations.

Golfers can avoid winter parking by tak

ing the RTD Light Rail which stops right in front of the doors of the Colorado Convention Center. Nearly 1,000 nearby parking spots will be available at discount rates.

More than 120 exhibitors will be spread through the large, 100,000 square foot space. Past expos have attracted 7,500 to 10,000 golfers.

The Colorado Golf Association and the Colorado PGA will provide instructional seminars during the three-day show. Golf pros are offering personalized instruction. There is also a large children’s area with beginner instruction.

The expo will be complying with current City and County of Denver COVID-related protocols during the show.

Admission is $15 for adults, $13 for Seniors and Military with ID at the door. Kids 6 to 16 pay $5 and children five and under get in free with paying adults. Hours are Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For additional information go to www.Coloradogolfexpo.com.

“This project is a clear example of what it means to invest in Arapahoe,” said Board of County Commissioners Chair Leslie Summey. “We couldn’t replace the facility entirely, so we took a thoughtful, creative approach to make the most of what we have and make it more effective.”
