The Staenberg-Loup Jewish Community Center (JCC Denver) is hosting its third annual Latkes and Lights Hanukkah event on Sunday, December 15, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the community center. Last year, this in-demand event sold out and included a lengthy wait list. This year, the JCC Denver has increased its capacity for the event to welcome in even more attendees. Tickets go on sale October 7, 2024 at 10 a.m.

The event includes Hanukkah fun and food including:

Latke competition, where guests can taste and judge latkes to determine who has the best from local Denver restaurants, and a separate latke competition from community members’ family recipes. There will be a panel of special Denver-based guest judges to judge both competitions.

  • Makers Mart craft fair featuring local vendors selling goods
  • Hanukkah games
  • Pita and olive oil tasting
  • Light room for kids
  • Live music

Tickets are available on a sliding scale price model from $21 to $29 for an individual. A family four-pack costs $53 to $77 on the sliding scale. The purchase of one individual ticket or a family four pack includes a complimentary Latkes and Lights tote bag.
