Insperity: An HR Platform That Reduces The Burden For Companies

Ralph Destito has been with Insperity since May 2023.

Insperity, a national human resources provider that started in 1986 continues to grow. Their Professional Employer Organization (PEO), which partners with small to medium sized businesses through co-employment has surpassed $6.5 Billion in revenues. They now have more than 100 offices throughout the United States and they are currently making a difference in thousands of businesses and communities nationwide.

Ralph Destito, local performance advisor, is one of 1,000 Insperity has around the country. Destito has been a loyal chamber member with two different companies since 2017. Destito joined Insperity’s team in May, 2023, and one of the first decisions he made was to join the Greater Glendale Chamber of Commerce. “The Glendale Chamber of Commerce is a different organization,” said Ralph Destito, Business Performance Advisor for Insperity.. “I have had the great opportunity over two separate stints to be part of the chamber and over those positions, it has always been a vehicle for transparency and good communication. They really move business needs ahead of individual needs.”

A PEO functions as a human resources department for small and medium sized businesses. PEOs offer services such as payroll processing, employer related tax filings, employee benefits management, and claims resolution. In fact, Insperity is one of the few PEOs that is certified by the IRS. Insperity takes on the responsibility on what is filed with the IRS is correct, not the company.

“Our reason for being is to do discovery with businesses to see if what we provide as an HR platform is a fit for what they do,” said Destito. Destito says the fit needs to be a two-way street. Insperity likes to work with companies who have policies and procedures in place that encourage retention and companies who have an affinity for their employees. Ideally, those companies would also attract new talent and provide a genuine place that they like to go every day.

Technology also has to fit for the potential client. Insperity helps assist reducing the administrative burden on the HR department and help them become a profit center. Through an optimal blend of technology and exceptional service at every turn, Insperity’s co-employment solutions provide recruiting and outplacement support, employment administration and payroll, benefits plan sponsorship, training and development, performance management support, employer liability management, and HR-related compliance support.

Insperity’s targeted businesses offer professional, skilled, knowledge-based services that fall within industries such as technology, engineering/architecture, real estate, accounting, medical, financial, legal, advertising, insurance, and light manufacturing, among others. Insperity serves thousands of businesses in communities nationwide.

Insperity’s mission and values are the foundation of a company culture that encourages a commitment to excellence and a heart for service. “The company’s mission statement is to help businesses succeed so communities will prosper,” said Destito. “That is easy to say but hard to do. After I have gotten involved in the business, it is there and very solid.” Insperity encourages their employees to get involved and make a difference in the lives of others through volunteerism and community leadership.
