Nothing Bundt Cakes: Approaching 10 Years In The Cory-Merrill Neighborhood

Nothing Bundt Cakes on South Colorado Boulevard, a longtime Greater Glendale Chamber of Commerce member, will celebrate 10 years in business in December. Ginger Benton purchased the franchise in January 2022, with her daughter and son-in-law. Benton, a former school teacher, was attracted to the franchise. “My daughter and I wanted to start a business together,” said Ginger Benton, owner of Nothing Bundt Cakes on South Colorado Blvd. “I loved the product as thank you gifts, birthdays, and we decided this is something we wanted to do. We liked the idea of the little gift shop inside too. I also liked the idea of even though it was food, I didn’t have to keep up with the perishables. And the franchise had a great reputation.”

Benton has also owned a Nothing Bundt Cakes in Littleton since March 2021. Benton fell in love with Colorado in the summer of 2020 after her daughter and son-in-law moved to the state.

Located at 1685 S. Colorado Boulevard, Nothing Bundt Cakes has been sweetening the Denver community’s life since December 2014. Situated near the lively Cherry Creek area, the bakery is a beacon of celebration, where every cake tells a story, be it a birthday, a wedding, a graduation, or a retirement party. “We say that we sell joy, not cakes,” said Benton. “We see repeat customers for their birthdays and anniversaries. Most people come in happy.”

“This place is so wonderful,” said Lacey McLain on Google. “They carried the stuff to the car for my mom who has a fractured foot. The cake is beyond amazing. So fresh and moist and the flavor. By far the best cake I have ever had. Will never go anywhere else. Also if you want to impress at an event or for a birthday? This place will do it.”

Nothing Bundt Cakes was founded In 1997 by Dena Tripp and Debbie Shwetz in their Las Vegas home kitchens, and it has since grown to over 500 bakery locations in 40+ states and Canada, becoming the nation’s largest specialty cake company, offering a modern spin on a classic treat.

“For our cakes, the secret is how we keep the moisture in,” said Benton. “I think I can brag on our cakes because I had nothing to do with developing those cakes. I am humble about a lot of things but not our cakes. Our cakes are delicious, and we have sizes that fit all. There is a flavor for everybody. Plus, cake makes everything better.”

Benton was not a cake lover until she tried a bundt cake. After that, she was hooked. She is also hooked on supporting her local community. “I really believe the Chamber provides a vehicle to get to know people,” said Benton. “I came from a small town in Georgia and I recognize the importance of supporting your local community.”

Denver’s dynamic spirit, from its bustling streets to its serene parks, mirrors the variety and vibrancy of Nothing Bundt Cakes. The bakery stands as a testament to the city’s love for celebrations, offering a perfect blend of traditional and innovative flavors suited for any occasion. Whether you’re marking a significant milestone or simply want to make an ordinary day special, Bundt Cakes, Bundtlets, and Bundtinis are here to turn your moments into cherished memories.

The bundt cakes are handcrafted in every bakery in a variety of delicious flavors and sizes. “That is why it smells so good when you come in,” said Benton. “I walked in today and it smelled like lemons and I love a lemon smell.” To top it all off, the bakeries offer a wide selection of retail items, including party supplies, décor, and gifts, making Nothing Bundt Cakes the perfect one-stop celebration shop. “Come visit us and have excellent customer service,” said Benton. “Look at our gifts and enjoy our delicious cakes.”

The pumpkin spice flavor is now available through Thanksgiving. Nothing Bundt Cakes is located at 1685 S. Colorado Boulevard. Visit www.nothingbundtcakes.com or call 720-630-7864 to place your order. Also, you can order through Uber Eats or Door Dash.
