Al Galperin has been a realty professional for 28 years. In March 2018, he bought a franchise with Realty ONE Group. His renovated office is conveniently located at 480 S. Holly Street in Denver. “We’re right here in the community living and working in the neighborhoods,” said Al Galperin, Broker Owner of Realty One Group Five Star in Denver. His firm has grown since opening in 2018 adding more agents and giving more back to the community.

In 2020, despite a global pandemic, Realty One Group Five Star celebrated a record year in revenue. “Even with the numbers we are seeing right now, our year-to-date this year com

pared to last year is up 50%,” said Galperin.

At the end of April 2021, there were only 2,500 listings in the Denver Metro area. “Ten to 15 years ago, we had at least 10-15 thousand available properties,” said Galperin. “You can see our market is nowhere where it needs to be in order to sustain itself. We hope that new construction will be our savior but builders are far behind in the building process. Materials have skyrocketed [in price]. That combination prices new home buyers out of the market because the builders have to charge a premium for that.”

There isn’t much inventory because homes only last on the market for a few days. It becomes increasingly more difficult to sell a home and buy a new one. “We’re seeing people come in with astronomical offers above listing price,” said Galperin. “Their waiving inspections and there are appraisal gaps. Colorado is still a destination state. People are moving here from places like San Francisco, New York, and Chicago.”

Realty ONE Group is a dynamic, full-service lifestyle Real Estate brand and franchise model, dedicated to emp

owering and advancing tomorrow’s Real Estate professionals, today. They have over 10,000 agents across the country.

From the beginning, Realty ONE Group was built to be a company that is invested in the success of their people — not because it would increase profits, but because they truly care. “The thing I like most about this company, it’s all about the agent,” said Galperin. “Their number one focus is on the agent. We have a lot of resources we can offer them.” Galperin is in the process of recruiting new agents as well. Contact them if interested. “We have a lot of suite programs to offer and our commission structure is fair and I find, in most cases, we allow our agents to make more money,” said Galperin.

This goal was set in May 2005 and remains true to this day: building a company that focuses on fostering a unique culture and gives everyone a voice. A community of professionals and dreamers, who have come together to change an industry, make a difference in local communities, and support their employees. You will never feel stifled or unsupported, because everyone and everything matters at Realty ONE Group.

Realty ONE Group currently operates out of three offices in Colorado: Lone Tree, Denver, and Greeley. Galperin’s location is just North of Leetsdale off Holly Street. Galperin oversees over 20 agents that all have personalized apps and their own websites.

“Part of Realty One’s philosophy is being a part of the community and giving back,” said Galperin. “The Glendale Chamber of Commerce is the closest chamber to us. It made sense for us to join the Glendale Chamber, get more involved, and give back to the community.”
