Scott Annis Selected As Senior Vice-President Of Information ­Technology For Westerra Credit Union

Scott Annis has been selected as the new Senior VP of Information Technology for Wes­terra Credit Union. Annis’s skillset and knowledge have been vital in building trust and improving capabilities across the organization to better help their members.


Annis has spent his career working in information technology, with the last 13-years devoted to the financial services industry. Prior to joining Westerra Credit Union in 2021 as Vice-President of Information Technology, he served as Vice-President of Strategic Technology for Elevations Credit Union.


“Scott has been a significant force in leading Westerra’s Infrastructure and Security teams,” said Steve Schmidle, President/CEO of Westerra Credit Union. “His skillset and knowledge have been vital in building trust and improving capabilities across our organization. I look forward to watching him continue to grow in his leadership.”


As Senior Vice-President, Annis will report directly to Brooke Fleming, Westerra Credit Union’s Chief Lending Officer, and play a key role in aligning and transforming member’s and staff’s digital experience. He will also directly oversee IT infrastructure and security, business intelligence, application development and support, and software engineering for the credit union.


“Westerra has been a pillar of Denver’s financial community for 90-years and, during that time, there have been many technological evolutions,” said Annis. “I am excited about Westerra’s current point in our digital transformation journey and how I can continue to support our members’ financial journey while improving efficiencies within our organization for our staff.” Annis studied Aerospace Engineering at University of Colorado (Boulder) and Information Technology at Colorado State University Global. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, mountain biking, and fly fishing.
