On Wednesday, June 25, Walmart and Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver teamed up for a record-breaking day of service — the largest volunteer event the two organizations have ever hosted together, and one of the biggest single-day corporate volunteer efforts in Habitat Metro Denver’s history.

Backed by a $25,000 donation from Walmart to fund all supplies and materials for the day, close to 80 Walmart associates volunteered to support Habitat’s mission of building affordable housing and strong communities. From swinging hammers at new construction sites to sorting donations and assisting shoppers at Habitat ReStores , this large-scale activation was a testament to what’s possible when the private sector and nonprofit world come together.
